11/15: The Luvely Rae’s One Night Stand (burlesque)

‘Tis the season to be thankful for life’s little blessings. We’re thankful for pasties and panties and the very big lineup planned on November 15th at our Tuesday night burlesque show. The Luvely Rae’s One Night Stand welcomes all the way from Boston, burlesque beauty Peril S. Curves. The super sexy Apathy Angel  returns for one more sensational night of titillating shimmying (just wanted to use “tit” in a sentence).  Former resident performer delighted that Red Hot Pinky, the return of Ula Uberbeusen, and The Flying Fox.

We’re on Foursquare so keep an eye out for upcoming specials.

Box office opens at 8:30, show starts 8:45. DJ of the hour is the fabulous Le Roi Prince and post show fun with DJ Disciple for those who want to shimmy the night away.

But the weirdly beautiful mistress of the great beasts fixed him with her strange, smoldering eyes-eyes that both attracted and frightened. And the attraction was greater than the fear.

Christopher Bousquet- Controtionist
 Christopher Bousquet has performed international as a contortionist. He has worked at Wonderland in Times Square, Carnival at Bowlmor Lanes, Fairty Tales Burlesque, Meaner Harder Leather, Penal Institution, and many more.





Edward Brown- singer

 I grew up in brooklyn goin to church every Sunday singing in the choir  but never thought to sing until I was about 16 I still had the voice to  sing so I turned to that. I also do art and is considered an artist





Jessy Lasso- singer 

 Dedication…Drive…Passion..Fearless..Unpredictable…All of these  terms and soo much more ring a bell when describing who Jessy Lasso is  and what she stands for.Born and raised in Queens, New York, Oldest of  three children Jessy has breathed and loved music .As a child she began  singing in a Gospel choir .After becoming older Jessy decided to pursue a  singing career and has been performing live around NYC and expanding.  From her high school days of writing her own songs to her friend’s  beats, she has made it far with her strength and determination. Coming  from a petite 5’4” frame, she sings with a soulful voice that carries a  tone of maturity and passion from the heart with influences such as  Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, and Whitney Houston . Her broad  style encompasses all genres from expressive R & B, HipHop to  energetic pop-like songs. Her style of music is indescribable.  Luke has been seen on MTV.com,  the Tyra Banks Show, the Food Network, Nintendo Week, and NBC.  Luke  has also been performing hip hop in the subway for years to virtually no  recognition.

 Mayo Kinoshita originally from  Hyogo, Japan, Mayo has been studying dance since the age of 3. She has performed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE in Japan where she was one of the top 20 finalist. She is a professional dancer and choreographer  (hip hop, street jazz). U.S. training includes ballet and contemporary at Ballet Arts.

Amazing Amy (www.idanz.net/aharlib ) at 50+ years old, proudly performs flowing feats of flexibility that few folks can achieve at any age.  She performs Yoga Contortion Dances. July 31, 2010, The Amazing Amy won FIRST PRIZE in the Coney Island Talent Show in the Circus Freaks and Side Show Geeks category!!

 Lester Greene comes to us riding a wave of kudos and accomplishments in all genres of the entertainment industry. As a rapper, Lester has released 2 full-length albums titled, “No Bush, Straight Dicks,” and “The Greene Room,” and when he’s not rapping he can be seen acting in front of the camera. He has already amassed an impressive resume with appearances in television productions on HGTV, commercials, documentaries for French and Dutch television; rap videos, voice-over and print and a long list of modeling credits. Lester is currently co-hosting an internet radio program on Bent Radio. www .lestergreene.com,

Mike Boland is an actor/writer/singer who is a native New Yorker born and raised. Presently living in Washington Heights, Mike has been the founder and leader of three rock bands and has played throughout New York city in clubs , bars, parks, street corners, subway platforms and anywhere else that needs good sounds. I’ve written hundreds of songs and have recorded a couple of CDs that were very well received.

Nadeem Ali- Michael Jackson Impersonator
Nadeem  is an amateur singer and dancer hoping to become a solo artist after  finishing school. He specializes in Michael Jackson-styled singing and  dancing, and also does some hip-hop.

Great News! Letha Rose will be singing in this month’s Broadway’s Bedside Manner. She’ll be singing soulful tunes by female singers who’s courageous lyrics helped fan the flames of the womens movement. There will also be a dance performance by Reagan Wilson in honor of Women’s History Month. Both artists will presenting their works at Metropolitan Hospital Center as the facility honors it’s female employees who have made a difference in the lives of both patients and coworkers. Everyone is eligible for a nomination from the female porters to the female managers. We are so proud to be able to provide entertainment at this event.
Thank you to those who have remitted financial contributions to make this event happen.
